Acupressure for low back pain
According to research, 8 out of 10 people experience back pain at some point in their lives, leading to over 83 million days of work lost each year. Acupuncture is known to be one of the most effective treatments for back pain.
Today, we will be covering important acupressure points that help alleviate back pain. Acupressure is done with gentle pressure on the point location for a duration of 3-5 minutes.
Yao Tong Xue
This point is located on the dorsum of the hand, midway between the transverse wrist crease and metacarpophalangeal joint, between the second and third metacarpal bones, and between the fourth and fifth metacarpal bones, four points in all on both hands.
Actions: This point is for acute issues of the low back – pain, sprain, strain (needle the same side)
