FACIAL GUA SHA MASSAGE BENEFITS:
- Relaxes Facial Tension
- Reduces Puffiness
- Improves Skin Appearance
- Lift and Contour the Face
- Boosts Efficacy of Skincare Products
Before you start :
You will need to have some kind of slip by using an oil or cream specifically for your skin type.
When you start massaging it should not be painful and your Gua Sha should not tug or pull on your skin. If you experience this, try adding more product or switching to an oil based product (if safe for your skin).
Step 1: Neck
Start with your neck and always move upwards with your strokes.
Step 2: Jaw Line
Use the wing side of your Gua Sha.
Glide up along your jaw line to lift, tone, & reduce any puffiness.
Make sure to glide upward at a 30 degree angle.
Repeat 5 -10 times.
Step 3: Cheekbones
Use the longest edge side of your Gua Sha.
Move at a 30 degree angle, gliding upwards.
This will help lift and contour the cheekbones!
Always check in with your skin and make sure there is still enough slip. Re-apply product if needed.
Repeat 5-7 times.
Step 4: Eye Area
Get rid of fine lines, wrinkles, and reduce puffiness around the eyes
Reminder: the eye area is more delicate and your skin is thinner around your eyes than the rest of your face so be more gentle.
You can apply your eye creams or serums at this time for extra slip and your skin’s necessary nutrients.
TIP: Store your Gua Sha in the refrigerator before this step for a refreshing & cooling effect.
Repeat 5-7 times
Step 5: Forehead
Using the longer edge of your Gua Sha we will be working on fine lines & wrinkles on your forehead.
You’re going to divide your forehead into 3 sections and start in the center.
Start at your eyebrows and move upwards towards your hairline.
Do 5 strokes in the middle then move to the side sections!
