Acupuncture To Promote Good Night's Sleep

Acupuncture treatments have outperformed drug therapies in treatments for insomnia.

A study conducted at the Hangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine compared the effects of ear acupuncture to Estazolam, a commonly used prescription medication to treat insomnia. They found that regular acupuncture treatments are more effective than the medication.

The acupuncture treatments were shown to:

  • increase sleep duration
  • improve quality of the sleep
  • reduce the occurrence of insomnia due to depression
  • improve a person’s overall daytime abilities.
