Natural Insomnia Relief

Get a great night's rest and have more productive days without becoming dependent on harmful medications!
TCM Theory Behind A Good Night's Rest
Insomnia is a common problem that can affect one’s quality of life. One of the most important ways to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle is to get a good night’s rest. This time is known as “yin time” in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The sleep during this time is when your body is able to repair itself. Also, it’s the time it will nourish the entire body.
Sadly, a majority of people in the U.S. report that they suffer from insomnia. Whether they are having a difficult time falling asleep or staying asleep. The lack of a good night’s rest negatively impacts all other aspects of our health. And in addition, it affects the quality of our days and lives.
Since more people are dealing with sleep issues and insomnia, the amount of prescription medication consumed has increased. These medications seem to offer patients some relief in the beginning. However, they start to develop other symptoms from the medication over time. And they find that the medications wear off as the insomnia comes back.
Acupuncture To Promote Good Night's Sleep
Acupuncture treatments have outperformed drug therapies in treatments for insomnia.
A study conducted at the Hangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine compared the effects of ear acupuncture to Estazolam, a commonly used prescription medication to treat insomnia. They found that regular acupuncture treatments are more effective than the medication.
The acupuncture treatments were shown to:
- increase sleep duration
- improve quality of the sleep
- reduce the occurrence of insomnia due to depression
- improve a person’s overall daytime abilities.

The Benefits of Ear Seeds

Ear Acupuncture is based on the principles of TCM. In TCM, the ear is a microorganism for the entire body. Thus, by stimulating specific acupuncture points on the ear, the body will begin to regulate internal organs, structures, and functions. Stimulation of the points in the ears is done with needles or with ear seeds, depending on your personal preference.
