Stay hydrated while cleansing your body with this super easy cucumber-lemon infused water! Cucumber is a cooling food in Chinese medicine, so it’s perfect for hot summer days.



An essential part of wellness in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is maintaining balance through diet and nutrition. Different foods can stimulate different organs and elements, so it’s important to adjust your diet to fit the season and your specific health concerns. The TCM approach to food is holistic and emphasizes individual balance over fad diets or one-size-fits-all rules.
In the summer, TCM generally recommends eating cooling yin foods, to help support the body during this hot season. This recipe is an excellent choice for the summer because it contains cooling cucumbers and helps provide the hydration necessary during these hot months.

Lemon Cucumber Infused Water

1/2 lemon
1/4 cucumber
Cut lemon and cucumber into very thin slices. Place in a jug and cover with cool water.
Let steep at least one hour and serve.
